Ambi is a tactile musical toy designed to promote short and creative breaks through the exploration of sound.

Stacked wooden modules rotate to control the pitch, tempo, bit crush, and wobble effects of a four note arpeggio, allowing users to actively shape sound through a simple and intuitive physical interaction.

Overstimulated by constant phone usage, the mind struggles to properly relax itself throughout the day. This project explores how a fun, creative, and easily accessible outlet for momentary relaxation can counteract restlessness through a musical toy.

Ambi uses USB-C for power, and to update the effects of each module, and a 3.5 mm audio cable to plug into headphones to listen alone, or into speakers to share the fun with others.
