Hi, i'm keon.
I’m an industrial designer from Los Angeles, currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
At the heart of my work is prototyping and testing ideas, as I give just as much attention to the process of making, learning and growing, as I do to the anticipated final product. With everything that I make, I have a distinct level of passion that comes from a love for problem solving and finding the “ah ha moment” during development.
I do not simply find the answers, but find joy in the act of looking for them, and asking deeper questions.
I often structure my design process around a process of giving myself constraints, and then slowly removing or changing them as my ideas grow. Whether these constraints are specific to the manufacturing, material, function, or form, I use these preconceived conditions as a tool to inform my ideas, and to create a more thoughtful narrative for my designs.
Influenced by music, science fiction, and nature, my work blends geometric precision with organic fluidity, resulting in forms that are both utilitarian, expressive, and deeply connected to a personal and greater social narrative. My work explores the intersection of technology, furniture, and mobility, and how these relate to create a more utopic vision for the future.
